Important Announcements - 2nd Aug 05

John today had a Telephone conversation with the Ticket Office at LFC. The outcome of which is as follows.

1. There will be no General sale of Tickets for the Manchester United and Everton games this season.

2. Tickets for these two games will be on a Loyalty basis via the Fan Card system. So effectively we will not get any tickets.

3. I now urge all members to apply for Fan Cards, you can download the form from liverpool.tv site or I have some copies.

4. Due to the new system of purchasing tickets for Supporters Branches like ourselves for ALL GAMES, I now have to give full names and addresses and Fan Card Numbers if applicable of all people requesting tickets for each match individually. You will not get a ticket application unless you are a branch member.

5. Liverpool FC may not be getting any tickets for the Middlesbrough Away game (1st game of the season) or it may be limited ticket allocation only. This is from Middlesbrough local authorities, due to the persistent standing by Liverpool supporters at the last two seasons games. I will let those who have applied for tickets know when I get more information regarding this scenario.

Liverpool Supporters Club Meeting

Dear Member,

With the end of last season hopefully still in everybody’s minds, we turn our attention to next season. There will undoubtedly be an increase in demand for tickets for Liverpool games. Success on the pitch brings hand in hand an increase in off the pitch support. I am hopefully intending to be one step ahead and organise ourselves ready for the new season, which is now less than four weeks away (CL qualifier).

The following meeting has now been arranged on:

Wednesday 22nd June (7pm)
@
The Old Vic (opp Railway Station).

It would be appreciated if as many supporters both new and old alike could make it to this meeting, to take memberships for next season, give out information and take numbers for the Champions League Qualifiers and the first Premiership home game, where I’m almost certain the (our!) European Cup will be paraded.

Membership of Scarborough Official Associated Branch

Local membership fees will be £7 per adult and free for children less than 16 years of age. There is likely to be massive demand for tickets when the fixtures are released on 23 June. So I will need all details and money in place before hand, even if it is only one day!

It would also be nice to update our records at the meeting and I will be asking everyone to fill out a new membership form, I am looking at more contact with members through email and website etc.

Tickets

Please be advised that we need to make applications for tickets 6 weeks in advance, and all monies for tickets must be paid when placing an order. We can no longer accept booking for tickets unless you already have the money in place.
LFC often take the money out of our account as soon as the order is sent to them, if this is a large or multiple game number of tickets, up to £1000 can be withdrawn from the account, I need to ensure that the money is in the branch account to cover tickets. If it isn’t we as a branch get charged around £30 on each occasion.

Every branch member will have an “account sheet”, you will need credit on your
account sheet before I will order you any tickets. Final!

The situation where people order tickets and don’t forward the money until the week before the game, or worse, forget they ordered tickets at all!! Can not be allowed to continue.

I can not be responsible for any tickets that are ordered, and then LFC change the date of the game. Everyone individually should be aware of match date changes, this can be done by looking at the Liverpool website “liverpool.tv”.

If you want to order tickets please phone my home number, if it goes to answer phone leave a message, I will get it. Or text me. Do not phone me on my mobile and tell me, I am old, and I do forget on occasions!!!

Transport

Two seasons ago it became unviable to put a bus / coach on to the games. This bus’s cost around £500+ and you have to book them well in advance. So unless we get over 35 people to a game it is not cost effective. We have been using a car share which has worked quite well on most occasions. However we have had people book tickets for families with no car driver which has caused problems. If you order a ticket check on transport availability or contact Julie McNamara and let her know you are going to “whatever” games and she can plan accordingly.

It is up to the individual to contact Julie to arrange transport, sometimes this can be difficult to arrange if LFC do not get the tickets out to us until 2 days before the game, so please be patient, we are not ignoring you, just keep trying us until we get the answers, which we do eventually. Julie can be contacted on 01723 350188 or 07803 568518.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can apply for membership and / or tickets by post to the above address F.A.O myself or Carolyn Smith or by phoning 01723 377580 and leave a message.

Looking forward to seeing you all again this season.
